An Employer of Record allows your company to legally employ staff in Bulgaria without establishing a local subsidiary.

Personal Income Tax

A flat PIT rate of 10% applies to all employment income in Bulgaria. Most fringe benefits and bonuses are included in the taxable base.

Social Security & Health Insurance

Combined contributions total ~32.7–33.4% of gross salary. Contribution base is capped at EUR 2,111.64/month as of April 2025.

Employer's Total Cost

Budget approximately +19% on top of the agreed gross salary to cover employer-side social and health insurance contributions.

Reporting & Payment

Declarations and contributions are due by the 25th of each month. Tax-free perks include food vouchers up to BGN 200/month.
